OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE
Enhanced Patient Safety
We recognize the worry this pandemic may have created for you or your loved ones, especially regarding visiting a medical facility. At Parto Heart & Vascular, we are committed to the health and safety of our patients, families and staff. To honor our commitment, we have implemented the following protocols that are consistent with CDC guidelines to enhance the quality and safety of the care we provide to our patients:
-
Screening: All patients are screened for symptoms of cough, shortness of breath and fever, each time they enter one of our offices. Staff also undergo regular temperature checks and symptom screenings.
-
Distancing and limiting visitors: We are spacing out appointments appropriately. No one is allowed in the waiting area. Patients wait in the car until we are ready to bring them straight into the exam room. We currently don't allow visitors to accompany patients. If a patient requires assistance, only one person is permitted to enter with the patient.
-
Disinfecting: We rigorously clean and disinfect all equipment and exam rooms after each patient visit.
-
Masking: Patients, and visitors are all required to wear masks. Our staff also use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at levels recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
As we monitor the latest novel coronavirus (COVID-19) updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we continue to maintain strict precautions when you are in our care.
However, precautions should not stop when you leave our facilities. To protect yourself and others, it is imperative you continue to follow the current guidance from the CDC regarding social distancing, wearing masks and hand hygiene. These important infection prevention measures help keep you, and your loved ones, safe.
Telemedicine Available
To meet the needs of our patients, we are pleased to offer telemedicine or virtual visit options. Virtual visits are one-on-one video appointments with Dr. Parto to receive cardiac care and guidance from the comfort of your own home. For these visits, a text containing a link will be sent to your smart phone. Clicking the link will initiate your video session with the doctor.
Information about whether your appointment request is eligible for telemedicine will be shared with you as you schedule your appointment.
